By Dina Oktaviani

after so many secretive and anxious years

those two friends make love in the end

at a time, when bodies

are no longer as when as they first wanted them

at a time, when life

has become more assured and imprisoning

at a time, when hearts

have become sadder and colder

at a time, when they can no longer feel anything

in a kiss and copulation

at a place, which makes them

feel as though they are liars or complete strangers

after the awkward romance

angels sit at both edges of time

the television is on, the curtains are closing themselves

sky is breaking in through the bathroom tap

there is no conversation, they sleep, for a long time
