M. Iksaka Banu was born in Yogyakarta and studied Design at the Bandung Institute of Technology. He works as an independent graphic designer. His stories have been published in several top-name publications and his short story collection “All for Hindia” has garnered mass critical attention.
Translator :Tjandra Kerton
Tjandra Kerton, the daughter of an Indonesian father and American mother, has had over 25 years’ experience in translating from Indonesian to English. She is also a professional proofreader and copyeditor. Her work experience includes having been employed at companies where she worked on in-house publications, such as company profiles, newsletters and magazines, and most recently, at two Jakarta-based law firms as legal translator and language checker. Tjandra attended primary and secondary school in the United States, and majored in Journalism at a liberal arts college in New York. She is currently employed at Soemadipradja & Taher Advocates as Marketing and Business Development Officer.
Translator :Jutta Wurm
Jutta Wurm studied languages, literature, and translation theory at the University of Berlin, Bonn and, Düsseldorf. After spending a couple of years living abroad in Italy and England, she worked as a language assistant and translator with internationally renowned law firms, while at the same time taking on tasks as a freelance translator, mainly for a variety of cultural foundations and organizations in connection with contemporary musical and theatrical events. Her translations range from essays to poetry and from new translations of turn-of-the-last-century novels to recent hip teenage novels.
