Marianne Katoppo (Tomohon, North Sulawesi, June 9, 1943–Bogor, October 12, 2007) wrote short stories and novels. She graduated from the Jakarta Theological Seminary. In 1951 she began writing the children’s column in Nieuwsgier, a Dutch-language magazine. Her writing was published in Ragia Buana, Mutiara and Femina magazines. One of her short stories was included in the anthology Dari Jodoh Sampai Supiyah (1976), which featured fifteen winners of the Golden Windmill Award given by Radio Netherlands Worldwide in 1975. Her novel Dunia Tak Bermusim was serialized in Mutiara magazine. Her novel Raumanen received an award in the Jakarta Arts Council Novel Competition in 1977.
